Off to the frozen north

it's been so long since I've written and the summer (the hottest on record?) has gone so fast! Tomorrow I fly to St. Louis, also a hot place, but then on Friday, I go to Anchorage where it's in the 60s.  On the 18th, weather permitting, I'll fly out to St. Lawrence Island, visiting NE Cape, Savoonga and Gambell. Pictures to follow!  

No one has commented on what was left out of my day pack--shame on you archaeologists--no coin envelopes or pencils.
How can you record a site w/o them?????
